Frequently asked questions
Here are some quick answers about card lookups, prices and trades.
What does Premium include?
User Premium is available to adult accounts. It includes the currently configured allowance of physical cards per game in your personal card folder, plus selectable card-folder themes. Store Premium is a separate membership for approved stores: it includes the configured store-folder allowance (unlimited by default), a custom store-page background and heading/bold-text accent, and the option to upload a store logo that is converted to WebP. Store Premium does not grant User Premium, and User Premium does not grant Store Premium.
Site admins can grant or revoke User Premium for individual members, and can separately grant unlimited personal-folder storage.
Premium features may expand as we add more features to Trade. We will update this page when the included features change.
How do referral links work?
Share the referral link in your account settings with someone who is new to Trade. When they sign up through the link, their free personal folder gets 10 additional cards per game. If they later register an approved store, its free store folder gets 50 additional cards per game. These referral bonuses do not increase Premium allowances. A referral code used on a store application also retains its existing automatic store-approval benefit.
Can I add a picture to a folder or follow a store?
User Premium members can upload a picture for their personal card folder from Account settings. Approved stores with Store Premium can upload a store logo; it appears on their store page and card folder. Uploaded JPEG, PNG, GIF and WebP images are converted to WebP automatically.
Sign in and open a store page to follow it, then select the card games you want updates for. Your Trades dashboard shows cards added to followed stores in those games during the last 24 hours. Open an alert to view that game's store stock, newest first.
Can I filter my trade history?
On your Trades dashboard, choose a member or store as well as an optional date, month or year. The same counterparty and date filters are applied when you export trades.
How does sharing my personal folder work?
Open My card folder and expand Share your folder with trusted members. Enter a member's username to grant access. Only members you approve can open the shared folder, and you can remove their access there at any time. Shared members can see available cards, quantities, conditions and images; they cannot edit your folder, see prices, or view cards already reserved in trades.
Folder access does not automatically reserve or transfer any cards. A trusted member can request a reservation from your shared folder. You can review and accept or decline that request on the Reviews page.
Can I reserve a card in a member's or store's folder?
From a shared personal folder, request a reservation for an available card. From a store's public card folder, submit a request for up to 30 available cards at once. The personal-folder owner, or a store owner or delegate, reviews the request on the Reviews page and can accept it or decline it. When accepting, they choose how long to hold the cards: from 1 hour to 7 days.
A pending request does not reserve a card. Once accepted, the card is marked reserved to other members until the chosen hold expires. To use it, start or edit a trade with that member (choose their *personal account) or store. Accepted reservations appear in the trade editor, where you can add the card to the trade. Adding it also reserves the inventory for that trade. A reservation does not finalize a trade or guarantee that the other trader will accept it.
How up to date are card prices?
Prices are not live quotes. To make card lookups quicker and reduce requests to card-data services, Trade temporarily keeps lookup results in a cache.
Most card lookup results are kept for up to 12 hours. Cardmarket catalogue and price-guide files are also checked and refreshed on lookup when they are more than 12 hours old. Currency exchange rates are refreshed daily.
After 12 hours, the next lookup tries to fetch the latest data available from the source. The source may not have updated its information yet, so a refreshed price can still be unchanged. If Cardmarket is temporarily unavailable, Trade may continue showing its last downloaded data until a later refresh succeeds; other card-data services may return no results while unavailable.
Why might a displayed price differ from a shop or sale price?
Prices are market references supplied by external card-data services, not a live quote or a promise that a card will sell or be bought for that amount. Prices can change, and listings vary by condition, language, finish, location and seller.
Trade uses the selected card version and finish where price data is available. The displayed starting price is for Near Mint; the selected condition and the trade or store's pricing settings can change the calculated amount. Always agree the final value with the other trader or store before completing a trade.
Members can enable Cardmarket AVG7 pricing in their account settings, and stores can enable it in their trade-in settings. If either side has enabled it, the trade editor lets both traders choose the standard market price or Cardmarket's 7-day average. The selected condition and the relevant personal or store percentage are applied to AVG7. This option is only available when Cardmarket provides an AVG7 figure for that card; otherwise the standard price is used.
Does a price change update a trade I already saved?
No. A trade records the card details and agreed values saved in that trade. A later market-price refresh does not rewrite an existing trade or a price either trader entered manually.
Why does a card have no price?
A price may be unavailable if the source does not list that version or finish, has no usable market data for it, or cannot be reached during the lookup. You can still agree and enter a value with the other trader where the trade allows it.
