Privacy
TCGGuilds Trade keeps a record of the card trades you choose to save. This page explains what is stored and who can see it.
What we store
- Your account: username, optional display name, email address, a securely hashed password and your preferred currency.
- Your trades: the cards on each side, their versions, conditions and prices, any note, and a history of who sent, changed, accepted or rejected the trade.
- People who aren't members: a name and, for store trades, an email address supplied for that trade, plus any "where you met" note. These details are visible only to the store involved in that trade.
Who can see it
- Your email is never shown to other ordinary members. For a store trade, the trader's name and email are shared only with the specific store involved, after the trader accepts the site's privacy terms and that store's data terms. They are not shared with other stores.
- A trade with another member is visible to the two of you only, once you send it. Drafts are visible only to you. The trading country you select is shared as part of the trade.
- Other members can find you by username or display name to send you a trade.
- Store opinions: if you ask a store for its opinion on a trade, that store sees the cards and prices on both sides and your username, but not the other trader's name.
- Child accounts are set up by a parent, who sees all of that child's trades and approves each one. No email or age is collected for a child account.
- Store registrations (including the note about your business) are seen by the site's admin to approve them.
- Stores: if you add a store name, your store name, town, website, address (if you add one), trade-in values, bulk trade-in prices and bulk buy prices are shown publicly in the Store directory. A store's own data terms describe its handling of the contact details shared for its trades; accept these before the first trade under that version of the store terms.
- Premium billing: if an approved store or sole trader buys Premium, Stripe processes the subscription. We send Stripe the account email needed for checkout and store Stripe customer/subscription identifiers and subscription status to manage Premium access. Trade does not receive or store your full payment-card details; Stripe handles payment details under its own privacy policy.
Prices
Card details, pictures and prices are looked up from public card databases (Cardmarket and supporting card catalogues) and exchange rates from the European Central Bank. Only the card name you search for is sent to them, never anything about you. Prices use Cardmarket's European market where available and are converted to your selected currency.
Your choices
You can change your details or delete your account at any time from Your account. Deleting it removes your account, drafts and trades with non-members; trades you agreed with other members stay on their accounts, showing you as "Former member".
